My laptop screen is dying (overexposed colours and so on) but can be used with an external monitor. My problem is that DT doesn’t show on the external monitor. I see that it’s open on the almost dead screen of the laptop but not on the external one.
I’ve tried other apps and they open and show and work as they should but not DT.
What should be the issue?
Your laptop probably does not have sufficient memory to drive a larger external display. I have experienced this same situation.
How much memory should my laptop have?
I think that the problem may lie in the video-memory rather than the laptops primary memory. My laptop is able to drive one screen only; I was able to configure the display manager and that allowed me to use either the laptop screen or the external monitor … but not both.
