I guess I know the answer, but before I give up on this idea, I wanted to double check here.
Despite all the fun and freedom to develop a raw image in Darktable, sometimes it would be handy to have a starting profile. In ACR, for instance, when I open a RAW file from my X-E2, I can pick a film emulation which is pretty close to the native in-camera ones, such as Provia, Velvia, Astia and so on.
Is there something similar for Darktable?
I thought I could use RawTherapee Film Simulation, but in order to do so, I need to import RawTherapee HaldCLUT and I can’t figure out how.
Or perhaps I could use color mapping?

you can use the colour checker lut to emulate these look up tables. i did that for my x100t [0], it almost also works a bit on any other camera (as well as the matrix profile standardises different camera models to the same XYZ/Lab space). for a precise mapping you may want to do the steps for your camera yourself [1].
this approach will give you an editable lut and a tone curve.

Thanks, hanatos.
I definitely need to take a look at the lut module for sure!
