Darktable-Gimp 2.9.7-Tiff troubles

I am using this development version of Gimp (enchanting!) of late. I edited quite a few photos by just allowing them to open in DT, then exporting them directly to Gimp without making any edits in DT. Worked fine.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to dig into DT to get more familiar (also enchanting!). However, when I close DT (which sends the image to Gimp automatically), and subsequently export the file as a Tiff, nothing but DT or Gimp can open the result.

The image comes up too dark in both programs (black clipping is indicated in DT).

Share your TIFF and screenshots using https://filebin.net/ and expand on the details of what you do in dt and GIMP and what sort of TIFF you’re saving.

Tried to do that using Google Drive. Will click your link and explore how to use that tool (not familiar with it). I posted this question with examples on another forum, and the only reply was a suggestion to come to this forum and re-post the question here. Not the most immediate answer that I sought, but a pleasant tangential
outcome, nonetheless. I am enjoying reading through the topics on this board.

Ok, I have uploaded sample files to Google Drive. Links below. I have included the RAW file, the DT .imp file, a Gimp exported .jpg file, and a Gimp exported .tif file, and the Gimp .xcf file.

Hopefully, you can help me solve why my photos do not result in a useable .tif file when processed via this workflow. It seems that the problem only occurs when I make edits in Darktable before closing/passing the file to Gimp. If I simply let Darktable open the file, then close Darktable without making any changes, I do not have this problem.

Any advice is appreciated.
