darktable help / Installing printer profile on MacOS

Hi,

I am fairly new to darktable and I am struggling to figure out where to put the printer profiles. The folders mentioned when hovering over the profile dropdown list do not seem to exist on my mac running MacOS 15.5.

The folders mentioned in darktable are:

  1. In the users folder: .config/darktable/color/out
    2)/Applications/darktable.app/Contents/Resources/share/darktable/color/out

I could not find a solution here for a mac so I am asking for help.

You should create the folders if they do not exist.

I’d suggest the user folder, since it’ll persist when you upgrade darktable.

Thank you! I created the folder in the user dir and it worked. The profile now showed up.
