darktable module settings cut off in win10

I recommended darktable to a friend who is using win10 on her laptop, resolution 1366*768. The right side of darktable is cut off:

Is this a known bug, the resolution too low or should I report a new issue?

1920x1080 is the minimum recommended resolution. Obviously it works on smaller screens, but with compromises.

I have the same problem with Manjaro (DT 3.8.0). Tried different things, nothing worked. Still investigating.

There might be a bug when expanding the sidebar to max size. Try to lower its size a bit.

The resolution is too low but you could show whole window anyway on such resolution. Just reduce font (with setting in main darktable preferences and/or reduce panels width then window.

resolution is 1920 x 1080, which should be ok. Bottom panel is fixed.
Was working perfectly with 3.6, so something is wrong with 3.8
Most interestingly, I have 2 account son my Manjaro laptop. For one user, all is right, for the other, the cut off occurs. Both have sudo privileges. I tried your trick and it does not fix the issue.

Strange with your 1920 width.

I can reproduce it with just smaller window size. When expanding the side panel to max size, DT windows doesn’t want to be smaller than 1524 px in width. (Edit: That’s not particularly correct. Of course the size of the left panel matters too…)

You don’t have activated any scaling on your system?

Yes, global scaling of 150% (for the 2 users). Both user have “use system font” to OFF. But the one that has problem has different font size : it is set to 12. I reset it to “8” (like the user that works) and the problem is gone !
Still, it does not explain why it was working under DT 3.6… Someone knows if change occurred in how the panel size are computed ?

Nothing had changed on that part, as far as I know. And I follow all UI changes and work on all CSS parts, so I doubt I miss something. Your issue is strange and you’re the first to notice it.
