Darktable Presets

Is there any site/s from where I can download presets for different modules of Darktable? Most of the sites I went to are providing downloads of styles.

Perhaps presets are not that useful on their own, so they don’t get shared like that.
Users (me included) have shared some presets here on this site. Search for dtpreset.

I think if you have a question, it’s better to ask, and someone may provide a preset, or you can create your own. Darktable already provides many built-in presets for modules.

Do you have anything in particular that you need?

I was looking to enrich my DT with some additional presets for 3 modules, namely, Tone equaliser, Color balance RGB and the Color Zone modules. I often see some channels on DT on YouTube use presets so I wondered if these were available in the public domain. The other option I have is to use a style and save the configuration of the module that is affected by the style as a preset. But then that is a very long winding road

I find that tone equalizer often needs tuning to avoid halos, so there presets are not that useful to me (there are a couple provided, but I treat them more as examples/inspiration). For color balance rgb, I usually use one of the built-it presets and tune them if needed. I don’t use color zones, so can’t say anything about it.

My experience is about the same as @kofa’s: presets for those modules always require tuning.
So much so, that for tone equaliser, I often just don’t bother with a preset, just start from scratch and adjust. Given the way the adjustments work, picking a preset adds just enough extra steps to make it uninteresting.

Of course, whether that’s true for anyone else depends on the style of photography they are doing. I tend to go for “close to real life”, usually fairly minimal adjustments. That makes presets less interesting, due to the required adjustments: I’m often already close to where I want to go, so as often as not I end up removing a large part of the preset values…
Someone who uses many large adjustments may very well benefit more from presets and styles.
