I’ve been playing around with darktable on a spare computer I put linux on to test some features I don’t have on Windows as well as see if a Windowsless future is possible at home. I have a couple questions about the print module though. It seems that it does not store the layout/image size as configured on the page and the image size resets to fill the printable area everytime I open darktable. Is there a way to save the layouts to reuse and even the images (ala Lightroom’s print module collections)? Also, shouldn’t there be an option to select which paper tray to pull paper from for each print even when using the CUPS drivers? I can see those options if I install Turboprint because darktable pops up the print configuration tool but not with the generic CUPS and I’m not entirely liking the default colors on my printer from Turboprint enough to invest.
Finally, side question, is there any desire or momentum to build out a Windows print module? I’m not a C/C++ programmer, but have dabbled in .NET on C# where a lot of tools exist but I wouldn’t even know how to start to do it myself in terms of integrating such into darktable’s code.
