For all those who tend to complain that it is so hard to achieve the very same look as the in-camera jpeg when using DarkTable to convert a raw file, think again!

I wasn’t really aiming for it to begin with but I ended up pretty close, minus the blown-out highlights, plus a fair bit of shadow (and other) detail and sharpness and gorgeous color. Admittedly, I ran the file through Gimp to clone out some distracting blades of grass and then through ShowPhoto for a color autocorrect (stretch contrast) and refocus sharpening. Her is the end-result in full:
