Defringing section does not expand properly before I go move the window, it is displayed about half way, before I move it. I use 5.9, on Windows 11

I don’t have RT installed at the moment but that sounds very similar to a known GTK bug which (IIRC) also showed up on the L*a*b equalizer widget.

It’s the GIMP Toolkit, which is basically (a part of) the framework / library that’s used to create the user interface. It’s what’s used to create and manage the UI elements: buttons, controls, dialog boxes, etc., etc. You don’t have to explicitly install anything – It gets installed with RT.

It’s an old bug that has eluded a solution, but @Hombre with assistance from Christian-Kr managed to find the cause recently. It will be fixed in the next release.
