As there is no “recognizable reference for color” i took the liberty to move around color by white balancing. Using a linear input working space helped as starting point. Adjusted color of the nut separately from the rest of the image (parameric masking on blue). Tried to let the nut appear slightly yellow, to account for the slightly yellow top light, as described in the top post. Removed the white ghosting above the screw, and the black spot in the blue background.
