Is there any way to disable the scrolling effect in dialogs when a new item is chosen (e.g., a category in the Preferences dialog)? It has no functional purpose AFAICT* and (IMO) it’s visually annoying. Maybe a .gtkrc setting?
* unless it’s maybe to divert attention until all the widgets have populated, etc.?
Thanks.
P.S. One other semi-related question (Preferences), which I’ll break out into another topic if it’s anything – Where do I find a log to tell me what this is about? I see it every time I open Preferences.
One way to go about this is to toggle “Reduce animations” option in your desktop environment settings. For GNOME this is under “Setttings” > “Accessibility” > “Visual”.
@lphilpot, I’m not well versed in Windows 11, so I need to take your word for it :). If you already have all “reduce animations” options in Windows 11 set and the animation is still in place, then that sounds like a GTK bug to me.
