Did I miss something? Where did the module >Levels< go?

I would bet your life that there was a module named “Levels” in tab ‘tone’. Perhaps the module was deprecated so that it has been removed from darktable?
What would be the easiest way to get the functionality of the Auto-Button in module “Levels”?
I use the latest git version 4.3.0+464~g844159b8a-dirty.

just a minute later I found an entrance in github:
(Make levels & contraste-brightness-saturation deprecated. · darktable-org/darktable@ab16673 · GitHub)
Pity it’s gone. But my question remains: What would be the easiest way to get the functionality of the Auto-Button in module “Levels”?

Perhaps if you create a style from a picture that includes this module, that may work out?

Just use RGB levels module instead of Levels. You will have same function.

You could also find deprecated modules on presets menu (hamburger right on the top right of your screenshot above.

not sure if this same. Had a first look at it and yes, it seems to be similar.

Thanks, I found it

It is the same, except that RGB levels works in RGB space. It’s more reliable and so better to use it than old levels (that’s why it had been deprecated).
