Hi!
I want to achieve the effect AP has demonstrated in one of the early D&S threads (Diffuse module is now in the master..... - #46 by anon41087856 the lady in red with white frame). I have tried to tweak the parameters back and forth without a success. Can you help how to achieve it.
I’m not sure how to do it tbh, but an important first step would probably be to move the framing module so that it is below the diffuse|sharpen module in the pipeline (Ctrl+Shift+click+drag).
Yes, I realized that after some iterations when there was no change in the frame. Now I have an additional D&S module above the framing module.
A slightly clumsy attempt, but essentially, this involved
- Moving the framing module just above demosaic in the pipe (I probably didn’t need to move it that far down)
- Activating diffuse|sharpen with the “bloom” preset and then tweaking the parameters until I got what I wanted at the edges of the image
- Applying a hard-edged rectangular inverted drawn mask over the diffuse|sharpen module (i.e. so that the module only applies to the outer edge of the image) and placing the mask in a reasonable position to retain the edge effect

Edit: You might get a stronger effect if you move diffuse|sharpen to after filmic in the pipeline (but then you might need to tweak some other stuff). Just moving diffuse|sharpen and doing nothing else yields this:
Thank you Chris!
