digiKam does not show OM System .orf location in map module

OM System .orf raw files with GPS data (as verified by the ExifTool in digiKam Metadata tab) do not appear in the map module.

A companion jpg file shows in the map module.

Darktable, Excire and Fast Raw Viewer all read the GPS location.
To reiterate, digiKam shows the GPS data in the metadata tab, but not in the map view.
Forcing digiKam to reread metadata does not help.

Update. If I put the raw file through DxO and export it back to digiKam in a DNG format then that file appears in the map view.
Also my Canon CR3 raw files appear in the map view.
