I like your other changes: color, texture.
Tried a few things; I think blur does most of it here, as opposed to highlight reconstruction, tone equaliser and DorS.

Yeah nothing better then a bit of good cropping! Have you done this in dt? And maybe a .xmp file to share?
Welcome to the forum and have fun!
Read this: “Software Engineer with the crazy idea to build my very own Photoshop/LightRoom killer app…”
Then you’ll have to be better then dt… ![]()
Have fun!
Not done with DT, but with my very own stuff that’s barely working today…
That begs for another thread to describe what you’re doing!
Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. I think gwbarn’s blurring technique is what I like most. Jetze, I give you the creative humor award.
Nice to hear a ‘conclusion’ from you Bill,
have you made another version - in which several idea’s may take their place - of your picture for us?
Regards, Jetze
Working on it.
Here we go:

I love the shade of blue of our sky in southeast Michigan. I am sure the color is as lovely in most of the rest of the world. A few years ago, though, someone said the skies in, maybe, Finland were pretty whitish most of the time. So I try to get the sky color to give me the same feeling as when I am outdoors looking at the real thing.
