Hello,
Is there any way displaying only the root folder of the images selected in the preferences in the Folders
panel, rather than the entire PC tree? I haven’t found anything either in ART or on the forum.
Thank you.

Hello, I don’t think so…
What I’ve done is save the root of my images directory tree as a favorite (for quick “returns”) and then also made that my default File Browser directory in Preferences. It doesn’t hide anything else, but at least it defaults to it being the selected folder when launched. Also (empirically on Windows at least) if you specify a folder path following the executable in the startup shortcut it’ll default to that folder in the File Browser.
Hello,
halas… Thanks anyway.
I’ve done same settings.
ART is currently started via a launcher with this command ART %f
.
I’ve found how to change the target folder (Linux).
Thank you!
Would you be so kind as to share your solution?
Thank you
Hi,
yes, I followed @philpot’s suggestion.
My launcher’s command line is now
/home/clinart/ApplicationsLC/ART-1.25.2/ART ‘/media/clinart/mydisk/Photography/’
But then you still see all the other folders and that’s what you didn’t want.
My settings in Preferences - File Navigator for Default folder when launching ART is “Last visited folder”. That way it always opens with a photo folder.
If you’re always opening to the same folder I’d just specify it in Preferences, since there’s already a setting for that. Customized launchers would give you the option of opening to any of several folders, with an icon for each.
