Hello to all RT-users
the Distortion Correction does not work with RT 5.8 on Manjaro Linux. The lens is correctly selected automatically, but the camera is not. When I select Geometric distortion, nothing changes. I am new in Linux.
On Windows and RT 5.8 there were no problems. There, too, the lens was automatically detected, but not the camera. Nevertheless, the Geometric distortion was corrected well. What could be the reason for this?
I currently help myself by selecting Distrotion Correction the Automaitc, the results are good.
I believe that you will get far more (and better) replies
if you told us what camera you use, as well as what lens – and
perhaps even enclose a RAW file for us to look at?
I will gladly send you the raw file here. ICamera: Panasonic DC-G9 and the Lens: Leica 12±60mm 2,8-4.0. But the problem occurs with all my rw2 files since I switched from Windows to Linux. PG9_9252.RW2 (22.8 MB) PG9_9252.RW2.pp3 (11.5 KB)
However, I have to admit that I am using the dev version of RT.
Perhaps something has happened between your version and mine?
What Linux are you using?
Give me a few minutes, and I’ll investigate a trifle more…
All right: you are correct.
I just fetched “ordinary” RawTherepee 5.8 onto a partition of its own, and it does not recognize your camera.
You have two routes to take: either wait for next RawTherapee (ordinary) release, or ask your Manjaro/XFCE to fetch the dev version from the AUR archives.
