I am back at Garuda Linux again, after a small detour.
This time I am playing with their KDE “Dragonized” Plasma edition.
One of the Garuda benefits is that it is quite easy to switch between
different Linux kernels.
- zen is their KDE default kernel
- cacule works with another scheduler
- znver2 is compiled for a modern Ryzen CPU
I have just clocked darktable using each of the three kernels
(kernel/with openCL/without openCL):
cacule 1.741 4.369
zen 1.641 3.984
znver2 1.629 3.939
I believe I can trim it a bit more…
Have fun!
