Do you know of courses about Darktable 3.6 or 3.8 in spanish or online activities about it?

We are a photographic association with a forum about photography that has been active for about 15 years, one of the main photo forums in Spain.
Our association:

and the forum:

A couple of years ago we have opted to be converted in association in order to be able to maintain the forum for free an free of adds or influences.

I have been using dartable for a while now, but am not too proficient with it.

This year we want to offer some incentives to our mates, and I have thought in tying to offer a course about darktable to all people in the association.

It would be online, of course, and we are open to all kind of ideas about it.

Our budget is scarce but we can talk about remuneration and how is the best way to offer access to the course to our partners.

I am thinking of a somewhat advance course, not just the basic tutorial you can read in internet in any place.

Some basic explanations about importing, classification, etc and basic development.
BUt then more advanced examples about how to do usual things like orton effect, bn conversion, greg gorman effect, color manipulation … using darktable.

And of course examples using the recent flow and modules like color calibration, tonal contrast lens focusing, local contrast, contrast equalizer and … filmic.

Our partners are expert photographers many of them, but they use mainly LR and PS, migrating to darktable would be great for many of them.

It won’t take them too much to use darktable at a basic leve, and import photos, classification, etc.
But changes in the way you work is quite more difficult.

There are no up do date course in spanish, none that I have heard of.

Thanks both for your replies.

I have already looked in youtube, but what you can find is mainly short videos describing DT or comparing it to LR, more like a promotional video, or very basic how to.
Then there are others on how to make some effect (great for somebody that already has jumped into DT).
And some course with many lessons (jenofonte) but old and not based in the new scene referred workflow.

If we are going to try to push our photographers into DT (which I think is great and more advanced than many other professional tools, you can finish most of the photos you can see in our forum) I would like to point them in the correct way, and show them only the new tools that comply to scene workflow.
Then you can use others if you like, once you have mastered a correct workflow, for creative purposes of because they are quicker to use.

So I am looking for a course (or somebody that wants to create one) that introduces you to basic DT editing, but not from the most basic concepts, our parteners know them already, most of them are quite proficient using LR or PS, but you need to “unlearn” things to use DT, and to be pointed in the right direction.

A pity you don’t speak spanish.

Thank you for the book.

It is an idea, it is not expensive, and may be we could provide one for each partner or talk to the author to see if we can provide it for a fee.

But I have been looking at the index.

It seems good showing you how to begin with DT and how to organized you photos, etc.

But when it comes to develope, it does not even mention filmic, or the non constrained in the lights edition used by DT or the linear editing.

I think that is the principal characteristic of DT that makes users like be hitting a wall in DT.
That introduces a great change in the way you work, and people like me that has been using a more traditional aproach working in a non linear RGB constrained space has difficulties mastering it.

A book or course that does not explains that and what filmic is and does from the very beginning won’t help you master DT, I think.
For a newcomer to developing it may be too fine not to make his head exploding.
But an advanced photographer need to know that and change his workflow and his mindset about editing.
