library.db-pre-5.2.1 is showing as a text file in ~/.config/darktable. This can’t be right, can it? Fortunately I have never had to use this snapshot, but, while I’m engaged in some serious image portfolio restructuring I might well need to. Can I recover it to the correct SQLite3 database designation?
Its a backup. If you need to use it, rename it to library.db or data.db and it’ll be recognized correctly.
Thanks for the re-assurance. Was the use of ‘text’ file-type name first introduced with 5.2.1 ? I had not seen it previously.
the “text” designation has nothing to do with dt, its from your file manager, and your file manager is guessing because it sees a file extension it doesn’t know.
