Dublin Bay Rose, up close.

What we have here is what I believe to be a Dublin Bay rose. This was taken back in 2016. The exif data indicates I used flash, so it must have been the pop up on the camera. I honestly don’t remember, but I must have been shading the sunlight being so close to the flower.

This file and many others were retrieved from the very first external hard drive I ever bought. One day it just failed to mount automatically. Both Windows and Linux OS’s would detect the drive but all efforts to mount it were useless. I thought everything was gone forever. I was not willing to pay several hundred dollar$ for data retrieval since all of the files were just my personal attempts and mostly failures of my hobby. But a friend told me to remove the drive from the housing it was in and loaned me a hard drive docking station. The drive finally mounted and I was able to get almost everything back!
