Early morning fog

My first contribution to to the PlayRaw category.

This is an image I took this morning, and I’m curious as to how others would interpret and edit it.
I took the image with a black and white edit in mind.

The dark fields top and bottom are from my cheap variable nd-filter. I purposefully turned it just over it’s safe threshold as I felt it added to the mood of the image as took it. And there are hot pixels, and it’s soft, and… :sweat_smile:

Not a fan of the darker parts top and bottom, but I did have a little fun with this image.

The more I look at it, the more I agree with you, pushing the filter was not a good idea, I took it a bit far on this one…
Very nice edit btw!

Thanks. Not all that hard to do, to be honest.

Made 2 edits in RawTherapee, a B&W and a coloured one, pulled those 2 into Krita and let the coloured part of the island bleed through. I also progressively removed sharpness from the middle going to the top to give it a bit more hazy/foggy feel.
