Erreur récurente avec RT sous Ubuntu

Bonjour,
Je suis sous Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.
Mon PC : Asus Z170 pro gaming, Intel Core i7-6700k x8, 64 bits , ram 32 Gb, disque SSD 1To,
GPU AMD Radéon R9 280x Saphire 3 go GDDR5
Quelqu’un pourrait-il m’expliquer pourquoi j’ai cette erreur (voir encart en pj) de façon récurrente. Merci d’avance.

Hello, are you using an AppImage perhaps, if so, what version?
If not, what version of RT are you using?

Hello,
Thank you for your attention; the problem is the same whether I use Appimage 5.12 or RT 5.12.

Xorg or Wayland? Might be relevant.

Xorg

Hello,
I’ve solved my problem. Thank you.

That’s great! I’m sorry I was unable to properly contribute, I rarely run RawTherapee, but thought the Xorg/Wayland question could be important.

Could you please describe the solution, so next time someone has the same issue, they’d be able to find it?

The solution is actually quite simple: each time you switch to a different folder, simply clear the cache contents – located in your personal folder/.cache – (Data, embprofiles, images, and profiles). Since I started doing this before each processing session, I haven’t seen the error message at all.

Note that in your personal folder/.config/RawTherapee-Appimage, there’s a folder named profiles: this folder contains the processing profiles saved in the RT editor. You don’t need to clear this folder unless you no longer wish to use these processing profiles.

Thanks. It’s interesting, as I have run RT both as an AppImage and as a self-compiled application, and have never seen this issue (but I use it rarely).
