Experiences with (good) AI sharpening under Linux?

I have recently seen VERY impressive results of AI sharpening - and of course only available for Windows. Other (online) solutions are rather expensive for amateurs (artguru.ai). But maybe you know more than I do.

Please smear the mustard of your wisdom on my sausage

I have used chaiNNer, there are many models. They appear impressive at first sight, but introduce fake details, so always check if the results look realistic.

Thanks. I will look into chaiNNer. All AI imaging I have seen so far has major troubles with hands.

Mostly (they are called ‘upscaling’ models, but some are actually 1:1):

Could you recommend a model suitable for photos? There are so many…

None of them are all that great, to be honest, but I found KBNet, MIRNetv2 and SCUNet to be the best. Make sure to get the models that have been trained on real noise.

My chaiNNer workspace:
denoise.txt (3.9 KB)
