Hi. Since I installed the 1.2.0-beta(1 or 2), the export a sequence as an MP4 (h264 or h265) has stopped working. When I click the ‘Export Sequence’ button the program just crashes to the desktop, no errors. Works fine with AVI although the file size is huge thus I need it as h265. I’m running Windows Home 22H2.
I think we need more details.
Logs, and what are the options chosen.
Because I’ve recently used this feature with no crash.
Excuse my ignorance but where do I find the logs?
I’ve added a screenshot below of the sequence settings although it doesn’t matter what options are chosen, normalisation, framerate, quality etc., as soon as I hit the ‘Export sequence’ button it crashes to the desktop. I did uninstall it and run it exactly the same way with version 1.0.6 and that worked fine. Thanks.
What is your OS?
And how did you get Siril?
I’m using Windows 10 Home, version 22H2. I downloaded Siril from siril.org download page first link. 64-bit Windows.
ok. We found the bug. Will fix it for next release :).
Excellent! Thanks for getting onto this so quickly ![]()
Hi. Any news on the next Beta release? Would really like to use Siril to create an MP4 time-lapse (AVI file is way too large!). Thanks.
AVI should never be used, only to pass data to other old software that only handle that, it’s uncompressed data and a bad format in general
WEBM is very much like MP4, does it work?
No, no date yet, at least 2 weeks I’d say.
In this case yes, you should make your video in Avi, then convert to your format with another software.
