Fatal error in 'git fetch --tags' stage of compiling 4.6.1

Not have much luck today: this is a sepate fatal error to the one currently active concerning an issue with liblensfun.

I’m trying to rebuild and get this:

Is this a user-error? If so, any advice?

You may try git submodule deinit -f src/external/rawspeed, and then git submodule update --init.
If all else fails, delete the darktable directory and clone it again, reinitialising the submodules.

Thanks that worked - the third time.

Now I’m just left with the fatal error associated with liblensfun
