Favorite foto of 2025

Now that it is finally 2026 (at least here in Australia), I can nominate a favourite of the year. This one was in the “charge your camera” thread in August.

It is good to stay on topic but I think multiple images will tend to work better because most people view the internet on phones so forum design reflects this

This isn’t good for some more subtle single horizontal landscape format images

It’s fairly simple by the coding standards here but I did put a link, on my post above,to a responsive web page which should fill a screen with the image which people are welcome to use the code from and would of course need to then upload to a server they have access to

There is then the danger of being ripped off but against that maybe it works with the open source ethos

About 20 years ago I had an exhibition of line drawings with a photo copier and invited people to take an image they liked off the wall and photo copy it and take it home if they wanted it; I did use Imagemagick to randomly juxtapose photos which were the basis of the drawing but now I am getting off the topic

Masterpiece :ok_hand:

Thank you

I went to a bird of prey photography experience early in 2025. I’ve been using Darktable for a while but I think that day helped me make good progress, and I’ve gotten even better since then.
