RAW was weird, ended up inverting and then cropping the outer border then auto-leveled before feeding result into LucisArt and blending with the original. Fed that result into FotoSketcher and then blended some more with a few G’MIC tricks and voila.

Was going to straighten out the buildings - but nothing I’ve got will open that particular CR3 file properly (downloaded twice). Comes out in portrait mode and a funny negative orange color.

Yes, I’ve opened CR3s before so, no, I won’t download another converter just for CR3s …

It’s an analogue negative film which was digitalized with a Canon digital Camera (that’s why CR3)

Thanks, that explains it!

Gives a whole new meaning to “Play Raw” :upside_down_face:

I went a bit far with the perspective adjustment, duh. As if the camera was pointed above the heads of les travailleurs.

Awesome capture; and with the Zorki, wow!

Very good balance between softness (noise reduction) and sharpness. I’m still struggling on this balance.

Interesting that only one try so far attempts to correct the perspective distortion of the buildings (leaning outward).

Is that generally not bothered with in ‘Play Raw’?

I had it on and with auto correction but it doesnt do very much. I think the tree’s confuse it maybe?? I also tried manually be didnt’ get a good result…

Thanks - darktable, I presume?

I tried again, still in RT - a bit mo’ better this time:

Vertical perspective -6.4, could have gone a smidge more, I reckon …

Ya I could seem to correct the right side and maybe it did during my messing around but because the way the trees lean in on the left side it still looked like the building was leaning back to me… I also just checked online and the uniforms should have the blue in them that I took out when I made them black…
