Hi, i update darktable from 2.6.3 to 3.0.0 and i have some troubles.
In 3.0, the module is now called Filmic RGB. It is probably in the “More Modules” module at the bottom right of the darkroom view. Find it there and click it so it shows up, or type “filmic” into the module search box at the top of the modules groups list in the darktable view.

Filmic RGB is not a different module? Because on my oldest photos where i used “Filmic” i can apply both

for old edits it will of course still show the old module so you can keep using it. but for new edits people should transition to the new workflow.

This week-end, I re-tested the ability to get results close to the OOC JPEG with the scene-linear workflow, on Panasonic and Nikon cameras, because I started to wonder if I was deluded after the load of incomprehension this has started.
So, yes, it’s definitely possible and quite fast.
Notice that my screen is set for Adobe RGB while Gnome screenshot tool seems to assume it’s sRGB so all colours look desaturated

I was told that properly-lit scenes were easy to process, but issues arised on under-exposed pictures. So, here is a more challenging example.

Christmas time in Montréal, ISO cranked up all the way to the top (12800), bright blue lights that will for sure end up out of any RGB gamut, sodium-vapour surround street lighting, we are on for a lot of trouble in this picture.

I began a series of videos today to celebrate darktable 3.0. The point is to give first-hand technical info about the guts of darktable, mainly to tutorials makers, who will probably do a better job than myself to make exciting content. As of myself, I will try to find a balance between bug fixes and knowledge sharing.

Hi and welcome to the community! Darktable 3.0 is rather major release with huge number of changes including workflow-specific things.
Yup, you should check darktable 3.0 | darktable where you can find this bit:
A new filmic RGB module which, like the previous module filmic , is designed to replace base curve , shadows and highlights and other global tone-mapping modules. This new version should be easier to use and it will reduce color casts. The old filmic module is now deprecated and only available on images where it was previously used.
I recommend that you read above linked article and https://www.darktable.org/2019/12/darktable-3.0.0-released/ to find out what’s new and changed in dt 3.0
