I never got use to it when I had a think pad. Still just a regular mouse for me. At least it is mechanical!
I don’t even own a mouse (no kidding) I am 100% happy with the keyboard of my ThinkPad, I love the layout and I always feel uncomfy on the standard-keyboards in the office. so far I use a trackball (bought myself) in the office, but that will change now. TEX already confirmed that a German layout is available and can be shipped next week …
This will clear up some space on my desk and make me happy every time I use it.

I also prefer a mouse: the track point injured my fingers.
I use a trackball as a mouse, but my full-custom QMK-firmware keyboard that I use as a daily driver has mousekeys built in, and that’s occasionally useful.

In the end I went for the original - exactly as I have it on my W541 Laptop … without the number block. Now I can even type on that horrible Dell thingy ;o)

Still prefer and use Thinkpad 20-series (x220/T420/T520) due to the keyboard, everything else just sucks IMHO. Don’t know what to do when I can’t get them on the used market anymore…
