Ciao, Gabriele!
I am using The Gimp 2.9.9 and at least some of the FX-Foundry effects work OK. Which of the effects are you after?

Hi Claes.

I added GMIC and now I want add Fxfoundry.

Even the really ancient ones from the end of the 1990s?
Unfortunately, most have to be re-written/modified to fit today’s The Gimp.

Never a wonderful idea to load up any version of Gimp with a load of (potentially) never-to-be-used scripts/plugins.
However, A good proportion of the fx-foundry scripts were updated for Gimp 2.8 by Paul Sherman. A fair chance that some will will work in Gimp 2.9
Best way is just download the bundle:
Details/information here: http://www.gimphelp.org/script28.html
Download page http://www.gimphelp.org/script28.html#downloads
And update to the latest version, GIMP 2.9.8.
Hi All,
it was for viewing all potentials Gimp could have;
for the truth I use Gimp-CCE and I think She (Elle) merges from git …( I thought it was 2.9.6 ; instead it’s 2.9.5).
Ok, I’ll see for that link, but I don’t know if I’ll install it.
Cheers
Gabriele
Regarding the fx foundry, see:
Advanced Customization - Plugins and Options - new Manual entry

Regarding GIMP-CCE, the pre-built Mac and Windows versions from Partha are at 2.9.5, as is the latest appimage available on the pixls website. However, the actual CCE code on github is at 2.9.7, being up-to-date with default GIMP through November 8, 2017.
