I was out taking pics all morning and this afternoon and thought I’d throw my hat in the ring to see what other folk could do with one of my shots. This is completely unedited on my end.
Now, if I’ve buggered something up, or am missing any information, please let me know so that I can improve on my posts in the future.
Hi Adam, my interpretation is to bring out the yellow of the bushes in the middle Also increase both the contrast and sharpness of the landscape towards the higher end to bring out some ‘pop’
This picture is amazing in going from such a dull starting point to such vibrant interpretations. I experimented at first with using Filmic for processing the image and filmic V5 with no chrominance preservation was doing a nice job. Filmic 7 less so. In the end I settled for my usual processing module of sigmoid, but film V5 was equally as good. P1040031.RW2.xmp (26.2 KB)
Holy crap, these all look good. I really like how you’ve all gotten the sky to really stand out…that’s what I was hoping to see.
I’ll try to have a crack at it later and we’ll see what I come up with.
Thanks to everyone who played along…some real cool renditions here. I took a crack at it and it’s surprising how my intent changed after seeing how others approached it. I would like to try to bring more of the foreground greens out with vibrancy, while muting the overall saturation and vibrancy of the trees. But currently, I’m just not that far along with my DT editing.
Also…thank you to everyone who removed the smear from my lens. That has been addressed on the camera, and shouldn’t be an issue going forward
All edits in DT, no use of filmic module, or local contrast. I’ve been enjoying using just the contrast and tone equalizer modules for fine tuning.
I lean heavily on the scene referred workflow, basically using DT “straight out of the box”.
