Hey,
I find it useful because I shoot in RAW and have not learnt darktable…
So I cannot compare it. Indeed my welcome post was to mention what I use and to say I have no idea about DT, the underlying message was that I will be no help what so ever! Sorry…
Anyway, I’m sure someone will correct me if I have misunderstood, but as far as I know DT and RT do similar jobs but differently; they are image processing software…
I’d be careful with AI searches on this… AI search and output do not really match the latest RT developments; AI draws on what has already been published, not what is current (Local Adjustment Vs Selective Editing (old name versus new name) is one good example where AI just seems to be lacking; in part because it is a new name with new tools and not ‘covered’ by those that produce content (not to any great degree at least)). I’m still hoping that content producers will get round to it … I’m not one of these types…
I’d say, if you’re starting with DT, then stick with it and learn all the amazing things it can do… It’s clearly very powerful and well considered here on pixls.us
