[fixed] need help with: retouch module / fill tool / fill mode color

darktable 5.7.0. 1242, Windows.

Whatever color I choose with the color picker, the fill color preview stays black.
What am I missing here?

I think I got it. I think I get the colors, but very dark. I know why.
Retouch module is at the beginning at the pixelpipe, anyway BEFORE the exposure module. That explains why the colors are so dark (look like black)

there are some open issues on retouch color picker around in GitHub …

Yes, I also find the fill tool to be fiddly and behave inconsistently.

It might be worth experimenting with moving retouch after exposure and seeing if any adverse effects occur.
