Focal lens multiplier, Hugin and Lensfun

I am following this tutorial Distortion calibration for LensFun on Vimeo to calibrate my 300/2.8L IS for Lensfun. I tried it out yesterday but I have a question about the Focal lens multiplier in Hugin. I own a 6D and I think I should insert x 1, but hugin added x 0.984.
According to Canon the sensor size is 36 x 24mm and according to The digital picture the sensor size is 35.8 x 23.9mm.

this is a guess, but I will say the canon information is probably the rounded value? So both are correct but the one with one decimal precision is more accurate.
