What is the use for proposing corrections in this file?
I’m unfamiliar with github and its tools.
Bonjour, if you find some typos (fautes de frappe) you can correct them and send your corrected file to ART. You don’t need github for this.

Well yes, you don’t need in the sense that you can post the corrections here in the forum. But if you have a github account, that would be the preferred way… (see Language translation files · Issue #18 · artpixls/ART · GitHub in particular)

The correct name of the language would be français. Is it a programming obligation?
