From RAW to TIFF or BMP?

Sorry to be ignorant, but I am completely new to Darktable (and I cannot see a manual anywhere).

I want to load NEF-files and save them right away in TIFF og BMP format.
However, I cannot see where to save a loaded image (like the usual: File > Save as) and select output format.

The important thing for me is to save in an uncompressed format that goes into another program that I have.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Best regards
Niels

Export from the lighttable view

You cannot convert RAW file to TIFF or BMP in rigorous sense. It needs to be exported after development or with default preset. Export module is in Lighttable down right corner.

Thank you for your reply.

How do you mean “cannot convert … …in rigorous sense” ?

I mean that RAW format is not ready to see format for image. It need to be processed before and can be done differently. “Covert” from one image format to another means change encoding of image file with no visual changes.

The darktable manual on the website, for future reference.

What @Benja1972 means is that there has to be some sort of processing done to the raw image data in order to make a bmp or tiff, there’s no way around it. It may be minimal, but it has to be done.
