Hi there,
I am struggling with the geotagging feature …
In earlier versions I could set the real time of a photo to calculate the offset - not so in 4.2.1 on current Debian. In lighttable it looks like this:
and this is the module in map view:
Relevant fields as well as the lock/unlock symbol are greyed out. What should I do?
The first line doesn’t look greyed out, so you should be able to adjust the time there (and have a new offset calculated based on what you entered). Does that not work for you? It does here…
Hm, maybe I don’t get it, but the second line is showing the original date/time which cannot be changed here (there’s a lua plugin to change the time stamp in the database and xmp, but here only an offset is defined). Changing the first line defines the offset. If you took a picture of your watch, you can enter the time it shows here and the offset is calculated.
If you need to change the time and date the image was taken it is better to use the plugin, but if you need an offset just for geo tagging it can be set here.
thanks to all who have had patience with me.
After reading the answers and thinking a bit, I came to the conclusion that I have misinterpreted the term “original date/time”:
probably the date of recording is meant as it is written in the EXIF data.
but one could also interpret - and that was my approach - it was the actual time during the shooting.
As a consequence of this misinterpretation I was looking for a way to change the second line … but in fact I have to adjust the first line to the actual time.
