hi, I’ve been using a Samyang 14mm manual lens on my 6D. I have a lens profile which works in P/shop but not properly in RT. There’s an open issue about this, so unless/until it’s fixed, I trying ExifTool to insert the missing lens info (I read somewhere you could do this…)
I’ve been doing stuff like this but with no success:-
exiftool -lensmodel=“EF17-40mm f/4L USM” rawFileName.cr2
exiftool -lenstype=“Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L” -lensid=125 rawFileName.cr2
exiftool -lens=“17.0 - 40.0 mm” rawFileName.cr2
RT won’t apply an .LCP if the lens is unknown, but will on a raw file with a Canon lens recorded. Hence the above trying to make the file look like a Canon one. Frustratingly RT will apply the profile to a JPEG which has no exif data, but not to a genuine Samyang raw file.
Please can anyone help? Is there a workaround?
