I’m not here to foster any arguments about PhotoGIMP, but I know many people have been using and enjoying it. FYI, those interested can install 3.0 on the latest GIMP development release by following their instructions, but renaming the PhotoGIMP packaged folder “3.0” to “3.1” before copying it to the appropriate GIMP subdirectory. It works at least on MacOS. I have not had any problems yet. The PhotoGIMP team may or may not issue an updated release for GIMP 3.1.x or 3.2, but if you’re feeling adventurous…

I recommend not using it for production work at this time, especially because this is a development release of GIMP. If you are interested in providing reports to the GIMP team, please remove the PhotoGIMP installation and confirm any issues before reporting a bug. YMMV, etc. Enjoy!
