GIMP 3.x and Resynthesizer on MacOS

I have been searching for info on installing Resynthesizer on GIMP 3.x for my ARM MacOS system and have come up mostly empty. I know that at one time there was an installation package for GIMP 2.x, which of course is not going to work for me. I tried installing Resynthesizer with MacPorts, but the instructions on installing the scripts correctly into GIMP were confusing and contradictory; I could not get them to be recognized and displayed in the menus.

Are there any clean solutions which don’t require recompiling GIMP, or do I need to wait till development catches up with the latest GIMP release?
