OK; still cannot believe how Upscayl does this. Used one of G’MIC’s sample images and ran Upscayl and voila. I added the original sample to lower left corner. Just still am in awe of this and hope such AI models can be added natively in G’MIC. We are always online, so if the engine has to be an online situation, I have no problem with that.
