Hey, I want to let you know that you might have this bug.
I experience it on the PDN version:
The plugin is using Qt 5.15.0 (according to the properties of the MinGW Qt DLLs).
Release version 3.4.1 Releases · 0xC0000054/gmic-8bf · GitHub
Changes:
Updated G’MIC to version 3.4.1.
The Exchange version has been submitted to Adobe for review, hopefully they will approve it this time.
Version 3.4.0 got rejected due to a missing package icon, not sure what that is about as the packaging process was unchanged from 3.3.6 which was approved.
In other news, the plugin had received a 5 star review from someone asking about Mac support. That review was removed before I could reply, presumably because the plugin is listed as Windows only.
Hi @PDN_GMIC ,
I’m a bit sorry to say that, but I’ve released 3.4.2 today.
There was an annoying bug related to preview splitters in G’MIC-Qt, that has been fixed + somme other small bugfixes.
Thanks again for all the work you do to keep up to date with new releases !

I am not sure if the Adobe Exchange had some kind of rule change implemented after 3.3.6 was uploaded, version 3.4.1 was also rejected with a note about some kind of request form being required along with the submission. Of course, there doesn’t appear to be any developer support page mentioning that form.
I understand that Adobe has a strict review process for Exchange submissions to minimize their own technical support requests, but it would be nice if their reviewers provided more detail than just a 1 line rejection reason.
I upload the G’MIC plugin to the Adobe Exchange as a courtesy to the users in their ecosystem, the Exchange package provides those users with a simpler installation and updating process than the manual downloads from GitHub. Only uploading to GitHub would be less work for me.
Apologizes for the above rant, the Adobe Exchange’s opaque review process and unclear rejection reasons are frustrating. ![]()
I finally figured out the Adobe Exchange image issue, it appears that they migrated to a new system that requires 3 different icon sizes (48x48, 96x96 and 192x192). But of course their migration couldn’t simply downscale the 512x512 pixel icon that they previously required. ![]()
More problematic is that they now enforce a 1000 character limit on the plugin description and license/terms of service sections, and a massive amount of editing would be required for both of those sections to meet that limit. The new mandatory support email is requirement also annoying.
I may eventually get around to tackling those issues, but for now the GitHub release is the only source for the latest version of the plugin.
Sounds like Adobe isn’t really game to open source efforts even if it makes their product better. Sad. ![]()

Technical Notes
I built the plugin using GCC under MinGW, I was not able to figure out all the configuration steps required to force CMake’s “MinGW Makefiles” process to use clang.
