I am using Gmic (v. 3.5.3) as an Affinity Photo (v. 2.6) plug in, but the software does not run, due the following: “An error ocurred when loading the image color profile.” Does someone knows how to fix this problem?
That is the generic error message when G’MIC is unable to set up color management for the preview image. There are a few ways for that message to trigger, and I can’t say for sure what the exact issue is.
Does it occur on all images, or only specific ones? If the latter, it may indicate that LCMS2 doesn’t like the image color profile for some reason.
I did all of my testing for that feature in Photoshop, but I would expect Affinity to implement the color management for Photoshop filters the same way.
I don’t recall why I made failure to load the color profile a fatal error, I may have to look into changing that.
This issue should be fixed in version 3.5.5 of the 8bf plugin.
