GMIC execution error

New Windows 10 computer. Installed GIMP 2.6.12. Installed GMIC plugin which seemed to be OK in my plugin folder, but as soon as I open a file with GIMP I get and error: “gmic_gimp.exe The application was unable to start correctly…”

I went to the plugins folder and manually executed gmic-gimp.exe and got the error: “…libgdk_pixbuf-2.0-00.dll is missing from your computer…”

I cant find a gimptool anywhere on my computer. I saw somewhere in another post about having the correct gimptool installed?

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Installing GIMP 2.6.12 is one thing you did wrong.

I agree, the G’MIC plug-in won’t work for GIMP 2.6.
You need GIMP 2.8.

THANK YOU Morgan and David! It’s working with 2.8
