GMIC Smooth [NL-Means] hangs

Having an issue making adjustments within the plugin. Spatial Overlap is what I am adjusting and this causes GMIC to hang. Using this on a 16 grey scale image.
Anyone else having this issue?
Using GMIC 2.9.6 in GIMP 2.10.12 (OpenSUSE)

Just tried moving the image within the preview window and GMIC exited unexpectedly with this message;

gimp_plug_in_handle_tile_get: ERROR

Could you post a sample image?

Reinstalling can do wonders. You may want to try the latest version of the G’MIC plugin (2.9.7).
