I’ve payed the price of 1000 mosquito bites to bring you this playraw. Flex your architecture/landscape muscles a little!

I’ve used and ANCIENT version of agx for this one, so probably not many of you can use it.

Here’s another xmp that contains how I think @Popanz would have edited this photo (you can open it in any dt version)

OK, that’s new, :astonished:

Now I’m a bit irritated, to be honest.
Do I first have a look, how I would do it or should I first do my edit and compare it afterwards if I met your expectations. Or is it a gentle hint which suggests I shouldn’t do an edit at all. :scream:

Haha didn’t mean to irritate you. Actually I like your style a lot so I have a style preset saved based on your edits (just as a reference point for my own edits)

It’s more of a request for your edit rather than suggestion against it! Want to compare the real thing to my cheap imitation.

It’s up to you if you want to check “my expectation” first!

No worries, there are worse things than irritating a Popanz. Even so it’s usually the other way round: Popanz is an old German word for bugbear, so what my avatar is showing.

I already decided to do my edit first. I think this way it’s more fun.

Great shot by the way, I think it was worth at least a good part of the mosquito bites.

OK, here comes my edit. It’s a bit different, I think.

Latest AgX as usual - Sorry, since @kofa said, his builds should not break previous edits anymore, I declared AgX to my standard and take the risk, that it maybe isn’t like that.

Great image! Here is my attempt.

Here is my try (with AgX), keep it simple

Dare I say again I look forward to seeing AgX appear in 5.3. I really like what he has been working on but don’t want to go down the AgX rabbit hole until it gets incorporated into the DT build. Yes, I defer to the kind volunteer developers to decide when that should be and I patiently wait. Nice edit Uli to your normal vibrant style…yes you do have a style! A good one at that.

Forgive the crop, there was a blade of grass bugging me. D5.3 without AgX sadly.

@popanz Uli, it seems straight out of the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” when the mother spaceship appears :joy:

Since you are from my home town I’ll let you in on one of the most common mistakes Germans make in English that can lead to grave misunderstandings!
“irritated” DOES NOT mean “irritiert” :joy: :innocent:
it translates to “genervt”, which is likely not what you meant to say above! If you did, my mistake :))
What you likely meant was “confused”.

Argh is it a false friend, really? If so I meant confused.
Thanx for pointing it out.

Anyway, leo.org lists as well “irritiert” as translation. And deepl translate my sentence to “Um ehrlich zu sein, bin ich jetzt etwas irritiert.” Which is what I wanted to say. Can someone whose mother tongue is English say something about it. I’m a little bit confused now.

You got something wrong, that version was meant for Hollywood:

I lived in the US for a while, and I witnessed this misunderstanding several times. The thing is that even in German “irritiert” used to have the meaning of “genervt”, or rather “gereizt”, as one can see in formulations like “Hautirritation”. So technically it’s not a false friend, but in practice it is.

I will try to remember using confused in future. Thank you for the hint.
