The setting sun reflected in a stream among the trees looked spectacular, but that does not come across in the photo (as is often the case). I am curious what others will make of it.

Edit: I just noticed HOW different the jpg is from DT darkroom on this old laptop. I still like it, but it way off tonally and chomatic…ly. I guess I need to futz with my color mgmt again. sigh

Gave it a shot. A couple of multiple instances of exposure and d&s with hastily drawn and refined masks. A handful of colour tweaks in colour balance, contrast eq, haze removal, and tone eq.
Tried to get the look of light illuminating the stream.

I would like to thank everyone for their amazing development of this image and kind words. Yes, it was a magical scene when I saw it, but I could convey it when I developed the photo; your images brought it back to life.
I learned a lot, and I am especially hoping that AgX will end up in Darktable.
