I was at a living statue festival last weekend. This gold coated model is killing for my white balance and overall tone. The OOC jpeg had blueish eye white
I did a basic edit.
I wonder how you see this and maybe the crop can be better too. I tried to darken the brights in the background a bit by using an inverted AI mask, but I removed it again, because I got halo’s around the hat.
I used the latest nightly, but should just do fine in 5.6.
Also, the exif shows the wrong lens, its a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L on a Fringer adapter on my Nikon Z6iii
Geometry: All good!
Exposure: Just a bit of shift and a tad of gamma increase.
Contrast: Near zero added, almost nothing.
WB: Slightly decreased color temp’ , not by much.
Dark gradient on right and bottom sides.
A lot of sharpening to show the paint on the face and the details of the costume.
yes, this was exactly what I meant, the ‘blue eyes’ It looks a bit unnatural and spooky to me (although I can also see it as artistic impression). I like the gold tone more though
Started by compressing the colour range with rgb primaries. Tried to really boost the gold colours and separate the background. Diffused the skin in chromaticity mode to even out the colour. Lowered fine skin details. Some medium local contrast to enhance the ‘metal’ look. I couldn’t decide if the extra tweak from colour zones was beneficial so it’s off in both jpeg and xmp.
This is fun… I accidentally shifted Hue rotation when I was aiming for Contrast (user error), but i rather like the outcome… playraw is for fun after all.
