Halo on the horizon at dawn

Here is my edit, done with darktable 4.4.2.

I love the unnatural, pictorial look I ended up with, but I find weird that light blue halo near the horizon (red circled):

I think the halo would be haze, or clouds or maybe the mountain behind the hill.

It’s the contrast equalizer. I turned off almost all modules (first the ones that used masking, then tone equalizer, which itself it a tool to adjust exposure using an internally created mask), and it was still there. contrast equalizer off on the left, on on the right:

You can play with the edges tab. I’ll just show the extremes.
Your edges settings (mid position) on the left, dragged all the way up on the right:

Please turn off the very first “color balance RGB”.
You will see the halo disappear
Notice: I mean Color balance RGB 0 and not Color balance RGB 1
